PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new means for screening a recovery effective substance of a skin barrier function.

SOLUTION: The present invention provides a screening method of a recovery promotion substance of the skin barrier function, which evaluates that a candidate agent promotes recovery of the skin barrier function when the candidate agent significantly suppresses production of cGMP in keratinocyte in comparison.
