<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize a drive waveform without increasing data volume and data throughput in a recording apparatus driving a recording element to perform recording on a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The recording apparatus driving the recording element to perform recording on the recording medium includes: an acquiring means for acquiring drive waveform data which contain waveform value information for every predetermined time of the drive waveform for driving the recording element and contain identification information of the drive waveform data in at least two pieces of waveform value information out of the waveform value information for every predetermined time; an analyzing means for extracting the identification information from the drive waveform data and interpreting the extracted identification information; a waveform generating means for generating the drive waveform based on the input waveform value information and receiving the input of waveform value information for every predetermined time of the drive waveform data, sequentially every predetermined time; and a driving means for driving the recording element according to the generated drive waveform. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
