<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording/reproducing device that acquires and records broadcast data and can replace the acquired broadcast data with higher quality broadcast data. <P>SOLUTION: A recording/reproducing device of the present invention comprises a recording unit, a recording processing unit for performing recording processing of reproduction information, a broadcast reception unit for acquiring the reproduction information from broadcast waves, and a program information acquisition unit for acquiring program information. The recording/reproducing device further comprises an alternative information acquisition unit for acquiring second reproduction information that is alternative information of first reproduction information that is the reproduction information recorded by the recording processing unit. The alternative information acquisition unit reads out character information added to the first reproduction information and retrieves the second reproduction information having the character information matching a part or all of the character information from the program information. Then, when succeeding in the retrieval, the alternative information acquisition unit controls the broadcast reception unit to receive the broadcast waves including the second reproduction information, and controls the recording processing unit to record the second reproduction information extracted from the broadcast waves on the recording unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
