<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce detection leakage of metal in an X-ray CT apparatus for detecting the metal inside a subject by scout images. <P>SOLUTION: A section setting part 202 makes a scout image formation part 200 form scout images from a plurality of directions. Then, for each slice position (position in a rotary axis direction), when there is even one scout image in which an X-ray attenuation amount for the slice position is higher than a threshold indicating metal in the plurality of scout images, it is determined that there exists the metal at the slice position. Also, the section of the metal may be divided further into the section of a large X-ray attenuation amount (section where correction by an operation is impossible) and the section of a small X-ray attenuation amount (section where the correction by the operation is possible) to execute control corresponding to the kinds of the sections. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
