<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving conductivity of a zinc sulfide phosphor and an EL brightness thereof when the zinc sulfide phosphor is processed into an EL element. <P>SOLUTION: This production method for a zinc sulfide-based phosphor includes a mixing step of mixing a zinc sulfide-based phosphor precursor containing at least one type of copper, silver, gold, manganese, and a rare earth element as a light-emitting central metal with a fusing agent; a first baking step of baking the resultant mixture to transfer the zinc sulfide-based phosphor precursor to a hexagonal crystal; a step of immersing the first baked material obtained in the first baking step in a liquid medium containing a surface modifier; and a second baking step of baking again the first baked material passed through the immersing step to transfer the first baked material to a cubic crystal, in which the surface modifier is a reagent capable of forming a coating film of a conductive substance on the surface of the first baked material by a reaction with zinc sulfide. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
