<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing toner which has excellent picture quality, sufficient low-temperature fixability and offset resistance, that is, a wide fixable temperature range, which can be obtained in an easy operation and which has advantage in terms of cost. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing toner containing at least a polyester resin and a colorant includes steps of: (A) dissolving the polyester resin and an ultrahigh molecular weight styrene-based resin having a peak in a molecular weight distribution of more than 500 thousands and less than 3 million in an organic solvent to prepare a binder resin solution; (B) dispersing the binder resin solution as binder resin solution droplets into an aqueous medium; (C) removing the organic solvent from the binder resin solution droplets to prepare a resin particle dispersion liquid; and (D) aggregating the resin particles from which the organic solvent is removed, and colorant particles containing the colorant, to form toner particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
