PURPOSE:To reduce cuts and thus enhance the spectral photoelectric conversion efficiency and the resolution by using a photoelectric conversion film whose absorption coefficient with a wavelength of 600nm is 10<4>cm<-1> and film thickness is 0.8mum or more and 3mum or less. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 21, an injection blocking layer 22, a photoelectric conversion film 23, an injection blocking layer 24, and an electrode 25 are successively formed on a substrate 20. The photoelectric conversion film 23 is so formed as to become 0.8mum or more and 3mum or less in film thickness by means of one whose absorption coefficient with the wavelength of 600nm is 10<4>cm<-1>. The blocking layers 22 and 24 are used by a hole blocking layer 22 and an electron blocking layer 24 when the electrode 21 is at a positive potential in opposition to the electrode 25. In such a constitution, the photoelectric conversion element with less cuts and of a high spectral photoelectric conversion efficiency and high resolution can be obtained. |
