TRANSPARENT ELECTRICALLY-CONDUCTIVE TIN OXIDE POWDER, METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IT, AND MEMBRANE COMPOSITION USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide at a low cost a transparent electrically-conductive tin oxide powder having more excellent electrically-conductive properties than an antimony-containing tin oxide electrically-conductive powder without containing harmful components such as antimony.

SOLUTION: The phosphorous-containing oxygen-defective type transparent electrically-conductive tin oxide powder is manufactured by a process wherein 0.1-5 wt.% phosphorus is incorporated to tin oxide to form tin hydroxide, and after a water-soluble polymer is adsorbed on the product, it is calcined at 400-800°C while the atmosphere is controlled by a method for making a specified inert gas flow in, and is characterized in that 0.1-5 wt.% phosphorus is incorporated to tin oxide, and its specific surface area is 30-90 m2/g and its volume resistivity is 0.5-10 Ωcm.
