<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality woody composite material which has high production efficiency, extrudes a side surface material by expansion of a core material and a surface material, and can prevent a protruding part on a corner part of the woody composite material. <P>SOLUTION: The woody composite material includes the core material constituted by a long woody material and having a rectangular cross section vertical along a longitudinal direction, the surface material constituted by a long woody material having density higher than the core material and joined to at least one surface of a thickness direction of the core material, and the side surface material constituted by a long woody material having density higher than the core material and joined to at least one side surface of a width direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction and a thickness direction of the core material to which the surface material is joined.
