The inserting of an annular seal (2) upon a corrugated pipe (4) is performed by enlarging the seal (2) through a plurality of gripping devices (13), each of which has a corresponding pair of jaws (21, 23) and a corresponding toggle closing system (25) adapted to move and keep the jaws (21, 23) themselves in a clamping position of the seal (2).
