<p>The method involves deploying an implant body (1) which is made of iron or an iron alloy, where a metallic coating is applied at a section of the surface of the implant body. The metallic coating is selected from the group, tantalum, niobium, zirconium, aluminum, magnesium, vanadium, molybdenum, hafnium, and tungsten. A plasma-chemical treatment of the coating is carried out in an aqueous solution to form a plasma-chemically deposited layer (3). The coating contains an addition element, such as copper and silver. An independent claim is also included for an implant, particularly an intraluminal endoprosthesis.</p> |
