Invention herewith described refers to the procedure for obtaining glass-ceramics from quartz sand tailings. The essence of the invention: the glass-ceramics and products made of glass-ceramics are obtained from the waste materials i.e. the tailings, which are cost-effective and efficient, and not from the pure oxides, whose procedures for obtaining are expensive and require high technology.Field of engineering: Obtaining the glass-ceramic from the silicon, aluminium and magnesium oxides as the dominant initial raw materials, and oxides serving as nucleates and mineralizators.
