The invention relates to a process for the chromatic reintegration of paintings with a view to restoring lacunar zones or making replicas. According to the invention, the process consists in a stage of editing the polychromatic image in a CMYK chromatic system, a stage of preparing the surface to be printed by finishing it with putty and compatible preparation layers and printing on a testing surface having the same characteristics as the surface to be reintegrated, and a third stage of actually printing the image onto the carrier, involving the tetrachromatic CMYK system, on a specifically-adapted printer, after which the dry printed surface is scumbled with a compatible laquer. |
