PURPOSE: A marker, a marker detecting system, and a method thereof are provided to accurately detect a marker even though a target object to be augmented is bent or an edge part of the target object is unclear. CONSTITUTION: A marker type determining unit(130) extracts color information for circles of a measurement circular marker respectively. The marker type determining unit compares the extracted color information with preset color information of a reference circular marker. The marker type determining unit determines the type of the measurement circular marker. A database unit(150) stores the number of reference circles for reference circles for the reference circular marker or reference color information of a circle.
