PURPOSE: An insulator for installing transmission and distribution lines of an extra high voltage is provided to reduce an impact between the insulator and the transmission and distribution lines by upwardly moving a coupling part between the transmission and distribution lines and the insulator when the impact is applied. CONSTITUTION: A main body(10) is made of ceramic materials. A cylinder(21) passes through the main body and is fixed. A piston(22) is installed on an inner surface of the cylinder. A moving unit(20) movably passes through the bottom of the cylinder. A rotating stand(30) is rotatably installed in a rotation shaft(1b). A buffering member(40) is contacted with the upper side of an arm brace(1) and performs a buffering function. An opening and closing layer(50) is rotatably installed on the upper side of the cylinder.
