PURPOSE: A plating method is provided to prevent an after treatment failure caused by an anti-tarnishing agent and improve the durability of a plated layer by implementing washing and an anti-tarnishing process after completion of an after treatment process. CONSTITUTION: A plating method comprises the steps of: depositing a work piece in an alkaline solution and removing foreign materials using ultrasonic wave, washing off the alkaline solution attached to the work piece during the deposition and degreasing processes, neutralizing the work piece by putting the work piece in a weak-acid solution, washing the solution off the work piece, plating the work piece by putting the work piece in a plating solution, washing the plating solution off the work piece, executing after treatment on the plated layer of the work piece, washing the surface of the work piece, putting an anti-tarnishing agent on the work piece, and washing the surface of the work piece.
