Disclosed herein are biaryl ether urea compounds of formula (I), particularly compounds of formula III and IV, wherein the substituents are as defined within the specification, processes for their preparation, compositions comprising said compound and uses thereof. Said compounds are useful inhibitors of fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH) and therefore such compounds, in particular N-pyridazin-3-yl-4-(3-{ [5-(trifluoromethyl)pyridine-2-yl]oxy} benzylidene)piperidine-1-carboxamide, are useful in the treatment of pain, urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, emesis, cognitive disorders, anxiety, depression, sleeping disorders, eating disorders, movement disorders, glaucoma, psoriasis, multiple sclerosis, cerebrovascular disorders, brain injury, gastrointestinal disorders, hypertension, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis or cardiovascular disease.
