Disclosed is the unsaturated fatty hydroxy acid derivative of formula (I) in which R1 is H, F, Cl, Br or CF3; n is between 3 and 14 and Rn and R independently represent H or a linear or branched alkyl group with 1-6 carbon atoms, optionally substituted by a halogen atom. With the proviso that when n is not 10 at least one of Rn and R1 is not hydrogen.
