<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize proper character recognition. <P>SOLUTION: The character recognition device includes: a recognition processing part 14 which recognizes a character image A as an image, specifies one or more candidate characters, and calculates a likelihood that a candidate character for each of the one or more candidate characters is the same character as the character image; an error list processing part 16 which refers to a history database including the character image of which character recognition result is corrected, calculates similarity between a character image B of the history database and the character image to be processed, and corrects the likelihood of the candidate character by the similarity; an evaluation part 18 which specifies a character as a recognition result from the candidate character based on the corrected likelihood. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
