摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable flexible use of a serial transmission path whose wiring is previously made between units in a system.

SOLUTION: When an interface card is added to a server unit, the server unit obtains the number of serial transmission paths to be used by the interface card for communications on the basis of the hardware specifications of the added interface card, internally connects the obtained number of the serial transmission paths among plural serial transmission paths to the interface card, and notifies a device unit of the internally connected interface card and serial transmission paths. The device unit internally connects a communication device for communicating with the interface card notified by the server unit among plural communication devices to the serial transmission paths notified by the server unit.
