<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment method for a valuable metal recovery treatment liquid which can efficiently remove an organic solvent contained in a treatment liquid, used in a valuable metal recovery process and discharged, from an aqueous phase to reduce COD and TOC of a waste liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The treatment liquid used in the process for recovering valuable metals from a lithium ion battery and discharged is contacted and mixed with a washing solvent whose main component is hydrocarbon to extract the organic solvent contained in the treatment liquid.
