<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a joining method which allows for variation in input energy to be taken into account in a linear friction welding of an aerofoil blade. <P>SOLUTION: A method of making an aerofoil blisk includes: a step of modeling a linear friction welding process for joining a blade member having a stub for joining to a disc, which is the step for providing results indicative of welding power at positions along the stub during the welding process by the modeling; a step of identifying adaptations to the stub using the modeling to compensate for differences in welding power along the stub during the welding process; a step of providing the blade member having the stub with the identified adaptations; and a step of joining the provided blade member to the disc by the linear friction welding process. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
