<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine which can improve cooling performance of a frame. <P>SOLUTION: An AC generator body for vehicle comprises a rotor 2 which rotates around an axis line and a stator 3 which is arranged at a position radially outside the rotor 2. The rotor 2 and the stator 3 are supported by a front-side frame 13 and a rear-side frame 14. The rotor 2 is provided with a cooling fan 5 which generates cooling air by rotating integrally with the rotor 2. The cooling fan is covered by the front-side frame 13. The front-side frame 13 includes multiple ribs 24 which are arranged at positions radially outside the cooling fan 5 with intervals each other. The front-side frame 13 has an exhaust port 26 which is partitioned by the ribs 24 and lets the cooling air pass through. The ribs 24 have, on the surfaces of the cooling fan 5 side, multiple air guide grooves 27 along the circumferential direction of the front-side frame 13 . <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
