<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a musical sound control device that so arranges a music piece played back as BGM as to harmonize it with characteristics of a pictorial image converted in a pictorial mode. <P>SOLUTION: Visual art conversion characteristics parameters representing the type of conversion and characteristics of the converted pictorial image and music playback characteristics parameters representing characteristics of music data representing individual sounds in the music piece to be played back as BGM are stored in advance in a RAM 12; a CPU 10, while subjecting the displayed image to visual art conversion into a pictorial image according to the type of conversion contained in the visual art conversion characteristics parameters, determines whether or not the music piece played back as BGM is in harmony with the characteristics of the pictorial image having undergone the visual art conversion on the basis of comparison of a locality in the visual art conversion characteristics parameters and a locality in the music playback characteristics parameters; and, if not in harmony, the tone colors of the music data representing individual sounds in the pertinent music piece are so altered as to make the music piece to be played back as BGM harmonize with the characteristics of the pictorial image; and, in this way the music piece can be arranged into a pictorially converted work harmonized with the characteristics of the pictorial image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
