Disclosed is a clutch cover assembly capable of stabilizing the operation of a wear amount detection mechanism and of constantly and accurately compensating for wear. The disclosed clutch cover assembly (1) is provided with a clutch cover (2) fixed to a flywheel, a pressure plate (3), a diaphragm spring (5), a wear amount detection mechanism (6) and a wear tracking mechanism (7). The wear amount detection mechanism (6) has a contact member (14), a facing member (16) and a wedge member (15). The contact member (14) is mounted on the pressure plate (3) and is in contact with the flywheel. The facing member (16) is mounted on the contact member (14) and faces the pressure plate (3). The wedge member (15) fits between the facing member (16) and the pressure plate (3), and moves in the circumferential direction in accordance with the amount of wear of a friction member. The wear tracking mechanism (7) moves the pressing member (5) towards the initial position in accordance with the amount of movement of the wedge member (15).
