<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve acceleration of identification speed of a specific image area in an image. <P>SOLUTION: An image display device 100 includes an image area generating unit 3a that generates first image areas and second image areas from an image, a first calculation control unit 3d that controls an evaluation value calculation unit 3c to calculate similarity between each of the first image areas and information for identification, an image area specification unit 3g that specifies an image area in which the evaluation value calculation unit is controlled to calculate similarity with the information for identification in each of the second image areas based on the calculated similarity, a second calculation control unit 3h that controls the evaluation value calculation unit to calculate similarity between the specified image area and the information for identification, and a face identification unit 3i that identifies a specific image area in the image based on the similarity calculated by at least one of the first calculation control unit and the second calculation control unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
