<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic metal halide lamp with a plurality of light-emitting tubes with comparatively little contamination of structures inside an outer globe even if enclosed material leaks from one light-emitting tube. <P>SOLUTION: A ceramic metal halide lamp (10) comprises: a plurality of light-emitting tubes (4-1, 4-2) with one light-emitting tube being selectively lit; cylindrical internal tubes (17A-1, 17A-2) that surround each of the light-emitting tubes; and an outer globe (2) accommodating the light-emitting tubes and the internal tubes. The internal tubes comprise a flow path (17Ah) communicating between the internal tubes and the outer globe. The flow path reduces the dispersal of the enclosed material from the internal tubes surrounding the light-emitting tubes into the outer globe if the enclosed material leaks from one of the light-emitting tubes, and also reduces the flow into the internal tube surrounding the other light-emitting tube of the enclosed material that has dispersed into the outer globe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
