<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible flat cable having excellent bending resistance in which whiskers are less likely to occur from the terminal of a connector or a plating layer or solder formed on the conductor of the flexible flat cable, or the length of whiskers is 50 μm or less when whiskers occur, even in such an environment as a large external stress is applied when the flexible flat cable is fitted to the connector. <P>SOLUTION: In the flexible flat cable 13 which is fitted to a connector 11 having a terminal 12 coated with an Sn based plating layer and in which a conductor 16 coming into contact with the terminal 12 is arranged, an Sn-Bi based plating layer is formed around the strands of the conductor 16, an intermetallic compound layer having a total thickness of 1 μm or less is formed between the strands and the Sn-Bi based plating layer, and the concentration of Bi of the Sn-Bi based plating layer is 10 mass% or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
