A method and system for broadcasting access control parameter are disclosed. The method includes that: a base station broadcasts an access control parameter through broadcasting messages and sends paging messages to terminals; and according to whether the paging message contains a dedicated field, Machine Type Communication (MTC) terminals judge whether the broadcasting messages should be read, wherein the dedicated field is used for instructing the MTC terminals to read the broadcasting messages. The present invention can solve the network congestion caused by the fact that a large number of MTC terminals initiate access request signals at the same time, and can also solve the energy loss problem of normal terminals caused by broadcasting the access control parameter of MTC devices. |
