<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rustproof coating material having favorable rustproofness, enabling to apply by an airless gun or the like, short in curing time and good in applicability of coating; an article, a nut and a connector coated by using the rustproof coating material. <P>SOLUTION: This rustproof coating material includes (A) spherical zinc powder (A1) with 0.5-7 μm particle diameter and scale-foil-shaped zinc powder (A2) with 20-80 μm maximum diagonal length or diameter; (B) spherical or scale-foil-shaped aluminum powder and (C) a curable silicone compound comprising a mixture of one or more silane compounds expressed by general formula (1): R<SP POS="POST">1</SP><SB POS="POST">a</SB>Si(OR<SP POS="POST">2</SP>)<SB POS="POST">4-a</SB>and/or partial (co)hydrolysis-condensation product thereof.
