<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device, etc. which effectively supplies electric power to a clutch which is PWM-controlled, thereby reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device includes: the clutch 4 connected to a power supply to drive control an object to be driven; an information detecting means 1 for detecting image forming information associated with a load of the object to be driven; and a control means 1 for controlling the clutch 4 by a duty ratio of a pulse-width modulating signal. The control means 1 sets the duty ratio of the pulse-width modulating signal to a first value when the clutch 4 is started. Also, it sets the duty ratio of the pulse-width modulating signal to a second value smaller than the first value after the clutch is finished engaging, while setting the second value based on the image forming information obtained by the information detecting means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
