摘要 <p>Provided is a control device for a vehicle engine, which executes so-called fuel cut in which fuel injection is stopped when a predetermined fuel cut condition is satisfied, and can improve fuel efficiency by lengthening the period of time for which the fuel injection is stopped. When the inertia, which acts on a crankshaft (50) of an engine (12), of a power transmission system is small, fuel injection is started at a lower fuel cut restoration rotation speed (Nercv) than when the inertia is large. When the inertia of the power transmission system is small, the load on the engine (12) is small, and thus even if the fuel injection is started at the lower rotation speed than when the inertia is large, the engine can be started. Accordingly, even if the fuel injection is started at the lower rotation speed than when the inertia of the power transmission system is large, the startability of the engine (12) is ensured, and the period of time for which the fuel injection is stopped is lengthened, thereby improving fuel efficiency.</p>
