<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine start control device for vehicle, capable of reducing maximum output torque of an electric motor needed for engine start, concerning a driving device for vehicle with an engine and an electric motor. <P>SOLUTION: An engine start controller 180 performs cranking control to pull up engine speed Ne with the electric motor MG in order to start the engine 10 into operation, and in the cranking control, makes the electric motor torque Tmg pulsate by resonance frequency f<SB POS="POST">RS</SB>of a power transmission system from the electric motor MG to the engine 10. The resonance frequency f<SB POS="POST">RS</SB>is determined in advance at least based on electric motor inertia moment I<SB POS="POST">MG</SB>and torsion elastic coefficient k<SB POS="POST">DP</SB>of a damper 36. Accordingly, in cranking control, maximum output torque of the electric motor MG needed for engine start can be reduced, since the electric motor torque Tmg is amplified by resonance of the power transmission system from the electric motor MG to the engine 10 and transmitted to the engine 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
