<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the insertion performance of a spacer by reducing a load when inserting the spacer into a water jacket and to avoid a damage of an elastic body. <P>SOLUTION: The spacer is inserted into the water jacket which is formed around cylinder bores of an engine. An elastic body 28 closely adhering to the inside sidewall of the water jacket is attached to a spacer body 10a via a long groove 26, and a ridge line 28e at a salient part 28c of the elastic body 28 which closely adheres to the inside sidewall of the water jacket is formed so as to cross the vertical cross section of the inside sidewall of the water jacket in unparallel therewith in the cylinder bore axial direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
