PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive and small-sized fluorescence detector.

SOLUTION: The fluorescence detector 10 includes: an irradiation part for irradiating an object 52 to be detected with excitation light; and a light receiving part 16 for receiving fluorescence generated by the object 52 to be detected. The irradiation part which radiates the excitation light includes: an LED 12 for excitation for emitting the excitation light; a monitor PD 15 for monitoring the intensity of the excitation light; and a control part 13 for executing feedback control of the LED 12 for excitation so as to fix the intensity of the excitation light on the basis of th-e output of the monitor PD 15.
