<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire which enhances the durability performance. <P>SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire includes: a carcass 3 which extends toroidally between a pair of bead parts, and is composed of at least a piece of carcass ply; an inclined belt layer 4 of at least a layer which is arranged on the peripheral side of a crown region of the carcass 3, and extends a cord to incline to a circumferential direction of a tread; a circumferential belt layer 5 of at least a layer which is arranged on the peripheral side of the inclined belt layer 4, and extends a steel cord to the circumferential direction of the tread; and tread rubber 6 which is arranged on the peripheral side of the circumferential belt layer 5, and forms a tread grounding face. The steel cord of the circumferential belt layer 5 is formed by intertwining a plurality of steel filaments, and when a line diameter of the steel filament at an edge of the circumferential belt layer 5 in a crosswise direction of the tread is Ds and a line diameter of the steel filament at a center part of the circumferential belt layer in the crosswise direction of the tread is Dc, Ds is smaller than Dc. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
