The present invention relates to a battery module including a plurality of battery cells and comprises: a cell module stack having a structure where a plurality of cell modules are vertically stacked, the cell modules having a structure where the battery cells are equipped with a cartridge; a lower plate supporting a lower portion of the cell module stack; and an upper plate fixing the top cartridge of the cell module stack located on the lower plate, wherein through holes are formed in the cartridge and upper and lower plates so as to connect each other, a fixing member is inserted into the through holes, the fixing member is coupled with the upper and lower plates, and the fixing member and through holes have a horizontal sectional structure where rotation is suppressed in the application of rotary power for coupling to the fixing member.
