<p>In order to provide a tightly woven rush textile in which strain is suppressed by firmly securing rush in place, and also to provide a loom appropriate for producing a rush textile having such a structure, a rush textile (1) according to the present embodiment comprises a normal woven section (10) woven as usual by plain weaving, etc., and a leno woven section (20) obtained by intertwining warp yarns by means of leno weaving. Moreover, a loom (30) comprises: a beam (31) around which a plurality of warp yarns (11, 12) are wound; a plurality of intertwined warp yarn feed members (33) around which intertwined warp yarns (25) are wound one at a time; a plurality of normal heddles (35, 36) for shedding which cause the plurality of warp yarns (11, 12) fed from the beam (31) to move up and down; and a plurality of leno heddles (40) for shedding which cause the plurality of intertwined warp yarns (25) fed from the intertwined warp yarn feed members (33) to move up and down while swinging left and right.</p> |
