PURPOSE: An elevator vertical alignment apparatus is provided to prevent a direct collision against a guide rail by correcting vertical alignment of an elevator to the guide rail in real time. CONSTITUTION: An elevator vertical alignment apparatus comprises a first alignment unit(1), a second alignment unit(2), sensors(3), and a controller. The first alignment unit is fixed to the upper outer side of an elevator and prevents the upward deflection of the elevator around a nose(61) formed in a guide rail(6). The second alignment unit is fixed to the lower outer side of the elevator and prevents the downward deflection of the elevator around the nose. The sensors are respectively fixed to the upper and lower outer sides of the elevator and sense the deflection of the elevator. The controller controls the first and second alignment units according to the sensing results of the sensors to correct the position of the elevator to the nose.
