Method for changing channels in a wireless communication network

The method involves testing channels parallel to data communication over a transmission/reception interface (FK1) by another transmission/reception interface (FK2) of an access node (AP) of a wireless communication network (NET), where the channels are formed as free channels not utilized by a primary user. One of channels is changed to one of the free channels when preferred utilization of the channel by the primary user is determined by the access node. The free channel to be utilized is integrated in a beacon that signalizes the channel change. An independent claim is also included for an access node for a wireless communication network.
