PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a daylighting structure for a building capable of utilizing daylight, while preventing the incidence of direct light. SOLUTION: A translucent hood 31 is stretched toward the outdoor side from the upper section of an upper window 11b of a building 10, and a light shelf 33 is stretched toward the indoor side from between a lower window 11a and the upper window 11b with its reflecting face 33a faced upward. A vertical louver 35 is provided on the light shelf 33 along the indoor side of the upper window 11b, and a blind 37 is provided horizontally along the indoor side of the lower window 11a below the shelf 33.
