DRINK COMPOSITION COMPRISING THE EXTRACTS OF MOMORDICA CHARANTIA AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: Functional beverage and tea for decreasing the blood sugar level using bitter gourd, and a producing method thereof are provided to offer curing effects of high blood sugar and diabetes. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of functional tea for decreasing the blood sugar level comprises the following steps: washing bitter gourd, and cutting before low temperature drying; crushing the dried bitter gourd; and roasting the crushed bitter gourd for 10-60 minutes at 110-150 deg C to obtain tea. A producing method of a functional beverage for decreasing the blood sugar level comprises the following steps: washing and finely cutting the bitter gourd; mixing the cut bitter gourd with black sugar and fermenting the mixture for 5-6 months, or mixing the bitter gourd with distilled water before double boiling the mixture for 10-12 hours; and adding a helianthus tuberosus extract, a black ginseng extract, a mulberry leaf extract, and other ingredients into the fermented bitter gourd liquid or bitter gourd liquid double boiled liquid.
