PURPOSE: An expansion joint structure for a bridge and a construction method thereof are provided to reduce construction time because the curing time of shrinkage compensating concrete is not required. CONSTITUTION: An expansion joint structure for a bridge comprises multiple anchor bolts(10), vertical members(30), spacer blocks(20), a horizontal member(40), an expansion joint device(50), and an impurity cutoff plate. The anchor bolts are embedded in the ground when a slab(2) is placed. The vertical members are installed in the anchor bolts. The spacer blocks adjust the height of the ends of the vertical members. The horizontal member is integrally installed in the vertical members. The expansion joint device is integrally installed in the horizontal member. The impurity cutoff plate is installed on the expansion joint device and prevents impurities from flowing into the expansion joint device. |
