<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deterioration of image quality with a minimum circuit structure in an image forming apparatus in which voltage application circuits are standardized. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus comprises: a plurality of photoreceptor drums 41; respective scorotron chargers 50 provided respectively to the plurality of photoreceptor drums 41; voltage application circuits 200, where the respective scorotron chargers 50 are connected in common, for applying voltage to the respective scorotron chargers 50; respective wires 53 provided to the respective scorotron chargers 50; respective grid electrodes 55 provided to the respective scorotron chargers 50; respective current detection parts 260 for detecting a current sum Ig4 of grid currents Ig carried in the grid electrodes of the plurality of chargers 50; and a control part 110 for controlling the voltage application circuits 200 so that the current sum Ig4 detected in the current detection parts 260 is equal to or more than a reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
