METHOD, SYSTEM, AND PROBE FOR RECOGNIZING COAL-ROCK INTERFACE

A method, a system, and a probe (1) for recognizing the coal-rock interface are disclosed. High-pressure water jet is sprayed toward the coal seam above a roadway, wherein, the water jet can penetrate a coal seam but can not penetrate a rock formation. The reflected flow which is reflected by the coal seam or the rock formation applies different acting force to a nozzle (6), and the acting force is monitored by a controller in real time. The controller determines the distance between the upper end of picks of a coal wining machine and the coal-rock interface based on the monitoring result, achieving automatic height adjustment of the rocker arm of the coal wining machine. The method, the system and the probe for recognizing the coal-rock interface have advantages of low cost, high adaptability, high reliability and safe quality.
