- It is a lid lifter, usually for beds or storage areas used in recreational vehicles. It could also be used , for similiar purposes, in other areas. A screw jack driven mechanism, with a 6 to 8 amp 12 volt motor mounted to the floor under the bed/storage area and attached to the lid, it is operated by remote control to raise or lower the lid. This enables access to storage compartments below and is generally for use of 250 to 1000 kg capacity of weight.
