<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indwelling needle assembly which can certainly inhibit that liquid flows out from the base end of an outer needle hub in a condition that the inner needle has been removed from an outer needle. <P>SOLUTION: The indwelling needle assembly 1 includes: an inner needle; an inner needle hub prepared in the base end part of the inner needle; a hollow outer needle 2 into which the inner needle is inserted; an outer needle hub 3 which is prepared at the base end part of the outer needle 2 and has an lumen section 34 which communicates with the inside of the outer needle; a valve element 8 which has a slit 84 which is installed so as to seal the lumen section 34 of the outer needle hub 3 and can be inserted by the inner needle with the outer needle 2, and consists of an elastic material; and a plug 9 which is installed in the lumen section 34 of the outer needle hub 3, has elasticity, and closes the slit 84 by pinching the valve element 8 from the tip side when the inner needle is removed from the outer needle 2 and the slit 84.
