Disclosed is a method for streaming multimedia content using the navigation device in a vehicle, and a navigation device and a playback device for a vehicle which implement the method. The method for streaming multimedia content using the navigation device included in a vehicle comprises the steps of: accessing a wireless Internet network using a wireless broadband Internet access unit; recommending multimedia content having a playing time not longer than an expected time period which is based on the time which is expected to be taken for the vehicle to travel to a destination; calculating the data charge charged for the streaming service; providing the service of streaming multimedia content through the screen of a navigation device when the multimedia content to be provided through the streaming service is determined using the navigation device; and providing the playback device for the vehicle with data via a short range communication unit included in the navigation device to stream the multimedia content to the playback device for the vehicle. Accordingly, a passenger can conveniently receive the service of streaming multimedia content in the vehicle.
