<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method of a liquid crystal display device that can achieve reduction of power consumption while preventing image quality deterioration. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device comprises in a pixel a liquid crystal element and a transistor that controls the supply of an image signal to the liquid crystal element. The transistor has a channel formation region including a semiconductor with a wider bang gap and lower intrinsic carrier density than silicon semiconductor and has extremely small off current. For inversion driving of the pixel, image signals with polarities opposite to each other are input to a pair of signal lines arranged to have a pixel electrode sandwiched therebetween. This structure prevents the image quality of the display from being deteriorated even though the liquid crystal element is not connected to a capacitor element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
