<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of components and the unit manufacturing cost without complicating the process of a lubricating oil cooling water passage formed in a motor of an electric vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A motor case 22 is formed of a bottomed cylindrical motor housing 22a whose back surface side for housing a stator 23 and a rotor 24 is openable, and a bottomed cylindrical rear cover 22b formed integrally with a cylindrical part for mating with the interior of a cylindrical part of the motor housing 22a from the back surface side. A water passage groove 61a is formed on an outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical part of the rear cover.
